Female fashion models and female glamour models are often different types.  Glamour models generally have more curves and often have the opportunity to model swimsuits and lingerie.  A few Super models, who were essentially glamour models, such as Cindy Crawford and Christie Brinkley have been able to also model fashion designer looks, as well.   These two girls above were also able to cross over into both categories.  Fabienne, shot here for Italian MAX.  Make-up by Susan Giordano.

Great hair and make-up are so important in making the model look her best.  In both glamour and fashion models portfolios, you will see a wide variety of looks.  There are those rare exceptions when a girl simply does not need make-up.  In my entire career I can think of one or two girls in which that was the case, you simply could not go wrong leaving the face naked.  Any way the point being, I always am looking for the top make-up and hair artists as they come upon the scene.  I've had the privilege of working with many top artists including the incredibly talented Susan Giordano, (who did both of the make-ups on this page,) Kevin Auqoin, Phophie Matthias and Alphonse Weibelt and lately Candace Mooney.
