This
glamour photo of Natasha Henstridge was also from the session
shot just before the release of Natasha's first breakthrough movie
role, in "Species." Natasha Henstridge is flawless,
here in a timeless glamour "pin up" look. Female
glamour models that have the classic, beauty look that Natasha has,
transcend time and place.
Natasha
Henstridge is one of the most beautiful women in the world.
Although Natasha began her career as a fashion model at age 14,
and quickly achieved success in that profession, she has become
much more successful as a top actress. I thought she was great
with Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis in "The Whole Nine
Yards" and will soon be seen reprising her charachter
in that film in its sequil "The Whole Ten Yards."
Benoit
styled Natasha's hair and Alphonse did her make-up. Steve
shot with a Mamiya RZ67 camera, with a 110f2.8 lens, and tri-x professional
120 film.
About
the photographer . .
New York based, Steve Landis enjoys shooting fine art, female glamour
photography in the studio. Sometimes the influence of vintage Hollywood
glamour photography, influences Steve's work.
Famous
photographers that have made an impact on Steve in his formative
years include; Helmut Newton, Lucien Clerge, Richard Avedon and Arthur
Elgort. Over the years, Steve feels fortunate to have
been able to meet each of those top photographers, even briefly sharing
the same agent as Helmut Newton, while residing in Paris. All
of those famous photographers mentioned above, who are considered
among photography's top fine artists, have completely different approaches
to their uses of female models. These photographers and Steve Landis
share certain ideals of beauty in their fine art photography.
These photographers all have an appreciation for women as beautiful.
They also share in the use of rich and sensual black and white
photographic prints as a platform for their art. Creating simple
but beautiful images are trademarks of Landis' work.
